We are Here to Create Better Footwear
Without Harming the Invironment

What is the best material for footwear (and clothing)?

It's wool!

Because it's the most comfortable material we know.

(Wool can absorb a lot of moisture and keep the skin dry and warm.

Because wool contains natural lanolin, so it can be worn directly on the skin without smelling bad.

Wool is light, durable and flexible. And, it can be felted into entire uppers in one piece.

Because it is a natural and renewable material that can be composted after use.

So why don't we use more wool for footwear?

Because there is no tradition for it!

Because wool shoes have traditionally been perceived as slippers, or old-fashioned winter boots from Russia.

The traditional shoe industry has found it easier to produce footwear from hides, leather and synthetic materials to meet the market's aesthetic demands.

Today we have a highly industrialized shoe production, which can be difficult to convert to more sustainable materials.

Because until now we haven't had WoolWalker!

What is WoolWalker?

A new felting technique that gives control over the thickness of the felt!

A felting technique that makes it easy and cheap to produce uppers in 100% pure natural wool.

A felting technique that opens up previously impossible designs.

A felting technique that gives us extremely comfortable and individually tailored footwear

- without harming the environment.

Woolen Uppers in various thickness
is now possible!

We have invented a new technology for felting wool

By felting woolen uppers
with full control of the thickness
we change the way of making footwear!

The Principle of Felting Uppers

Making woolen uppers is in fact a simple process.

You make a sock of woolen felt.

You insert your last.

Then you shrink the sock around your last

Finally you attach a sole.

Improving the production process gives opportunity for
better designs and use of wool as upper material for footwear.

A natural material with unique properties that can not be replaced with any known technology.

A material that can absorb moist and release it again, making your skin feel dry and warm. A light and hardwearing material with self cleansing abilities due to the natural content of lanolin.

A natural renewable and compostable material that can be given back to nature after use.

Wool is simply the most comfortable to wear!…
